The newer students just don’t have the older generations to look up to anymore. You know, the kids that didn’t go to the 9th grade center or only spent a semester at mill creek, back when Hillcrest was the scotty dogs and gladden was the eagles. The district has changed so much for the good and some for the bad. From what I hear class of 06 was the last awesome class to graduate but then again I may be partial.

The no-cut policy is a huge mistake. Our school is just finishing girls volleyball. There are 6 girls that warm the seats and rotate in an out while the other more “team” skilled girls play the entire 3-5 games. Although some of these “seat warmers” have the skill, they are new to being on an actual team, therefore not part of the “clique”.

I would much rather deal ONCE with the pain of not making it on the team, then being put on a team that implies that I don’t make the cut at every game by not allowing me to play.

Cut….cut…cut!

I have been able to print the story both ways. It just gives me 4 pages worth of stuff, not just the story. Thank you, though. I appreciate you repling and trying to

Hi Laurie, have you tried right clicking then print? or failing that if you really want to print it, you can take a screen shot and print that.

i think u are speaking the truth and it is sad the way some people react to the pressure they receive from celeberties. but what really gets me is how, even with all the facts and information about the effects this(meaning the media) has on teens, nothing has changed

I honestly see nothing wrong with it. Parents are not dehumanizing children by using a leash. It provides an easy way to keep an eye on your kid. Parenting is not really a problem with it either… Kids like to wander, and having a leash is great for that. An example; Your kid is good, you brought her up right, but you let go of her hand and now she’s gone, she slipped into the crowd because you walked too fast… LEASH: your kid is good, you brought her up right you let go of her hand and, look at that. She’s still right beside you.

I completely agree with this article. However, it would have cost more than $6 in gas to get to Lee’s Summit or Grandview with gas as high as it was.
