Preparing helps students to pass finals

Finals are right around the corner and many students are beginning to prepare for them. Most finals take place on Dec. 21 and 22, the last two days of school before winter break. A lot of classes also have other tests before their official final in the class. Some students are starting to stress about the tests in their harder classes. The best thing to do to prepare for the finals is to study and relax. The students should also know what is being covered on the tests and what any essays may be about.

A lot of students throughout the school worry about finals and the tests’ possible effect on their grades. The finals can affect grades in a major way. They could be the difference between passing or failing a class. All students should try their best to pass all of their finals.
Even though finals are important and everyone has to take them, they don’t count for everyone in some classes. Depending on absences and tardies, some student’s finals scores are not added to their grade. Only students with three or more tardies or two or more absences in a class have to take the final for credit in that individual class. For those students that are not required to take the final for credit, some teachers are only putting in the scores if they make the student’s grade go up.

One of the best things students can do to help themselves pass their finals and other tests that take place before and even after finals is to study and not stress. Stress can be a major issue for many teenagers, especially during the finals. Students need to study, relax, and believe that they will do well to reduce their stress and do better on tests.

I think that to able to do better on finals students need to study and participate in any final reviews that teachers offer, including doing study guides. The stress that finals cause can have a bad effect for the students’ finals scores because the stress can make them forget things or sleep badly the night before the tests. To sum it all up, finals are part of a high school student’s life and there is no point in overly stressing about them. If everyone studies for them and try their best, they will do well.
