It’s not cute to act dumb

Many girls and guys these days find it very amusing to act dumb. The reasons they act dumb are unknown to many people, but for people who can relate to acting dumb the reasons are crystal clear.

Some reasons that girls act dumb is for attention from boys and to some how gain other ditsy friends. If girls need to become a different person to attract boys and friends, chances are they should find new friends and boys that will like them for who they really are.

A lot of girls these days are insecure with themselves and how other people view them. So their alternatives are to create fake personalities and act like something they are not to get people to like them. The bottom line is that it is very hard for some people to find friends because of how judgemental people are nowadays, so they turn to creating a fake persona of stupidity.

So instead of blaming the individual for acting dumb, society should be to blame. Society is the main reason many teenagers commit suicide, change their appearance and their attitudes. If fitting in is so important to people in high school, then why isn’t it that important in the real world? Many successful businessmen and women are people who were not all that popular in high school. Many teenagers should be aware that how many friends they had in high school will not matter when they are in the real world with careers and families to support.

People who are really smart are now changing their personalities to get attention, when in all actuality they could be using their knowledge to their full potential and get attention in positive ways. Most people don’t realize that it is actually more attractive to seem smart rather than to seem dumb. Who wouldn’t want the positive attention from colleges and employers in high school?

Many people that act dumb, usually pretend like they don’t have common sense so the people around them will give them some sort of unnecessary attention. Usually there are some people that are able to see past this act and are able to ignore the mask of stupidity being put on. People should definitely save their acts for theatre because it is definitely not cute nor entertaining when it’s not being performed on stage.

Many people definitely need to learn when enough is enough and to just be themselves. Everyone would rather have real friends than friends who are fake and have a fake personality to get attention. Dumb is definitely not the new cute in the 21st century.
