Senior Callie Porter golfed her way to the state championships this year. She competed on Monday and Tuesday October 19th and 20th. She competed in Nixa, Missouri, where she placed 60th out of 127 competeitors. Porter said she played well, but had more potential.

“The first day went well, but on the second day I played bad on my first nine,”  Porter said.

Porter shot a 93 on Monday and a 98 on Tuesday, to shoot a total of 191. Porter said she hopes to play in college.

“I plan to play golf; we just have to see who wants me at their school,” Porter said.

This was the final competition for the girls in their 2009 season. The next golf BHS will see is in spring when the boy’s season begins.
