For many, Christmas has become a stressful time, especially with the economy but others have still been able to find joy in Christmas time.

Senior Kelsey Maurer is known by many class mates for being a major Christmas fan. She enjoys bringing Christmas spirit to others.

“I brought candy canes and cookies once. I also say ‘merry Christmas’ to everyone and I try to always be nice,” Maurer said.

Maurer likes Christmas time because her sister comes home.

“We make gingerbread houses and watch Christmas movies,” Maurer said.

Maurer likes Christmas Eve even better.

“Everyone cooks something and we eat. We also watch Christmas Eve on Sesame street and the old Grinch movie.”

Christmas shouldn’t become a time of stress. Maurer sees Christmas as a time to spend with family, reflecting on the year and creating memories.
